Schedule of Events

Local farmers and artisans sell Perth County’s best along the Avon River and Veterans Drive. Begins at 9 am. Farmers’ Market until 2pm (availability of produce cannot be guaranteed beyond this time) - Artisans’ Market until 5pm.

Local non-profits grilling local food from 9am 'til 8pm. The air will be laden with the aromas of:

1. The Actors Guild servin' up tasty de Martines' heritage pork ribs with homemade BBQ Sauce and grilled Neubrand Country Farm's vegetable skewers with halloumi cheese, Tea Leaves Iced Tea & Balzac's Iced Coffee & Latte
2. Community Living Stratford & Area (CLSA) grillin' homemade beef burgers supplied by local farmer Martin Kirwin and topped with Neubrand Country Farm's sauteed onions, Distinctly Tea Homemade Iced Tea
3. Perth County OSPCA grillin' Fosterdale Farms sweet corn smothered in local whey butter
4. Stratford Minor Sports Council makin' The Butcher and The Baker's BBQ beef on a bun, Harmony Organics Chocolate and White milk
5. Slow Food Perth County servin' Perth Pork Products Pulled Pork Sandwiches with Neubrand's Caramelized Onions & Vernon Farms' Apples & Local Ontario Juices - Wellesley Iced Apple Cider and Niagara Juice Company's Gesundheit Grape Juice

A diverse range of local bands and musical artists take to the stage from 9 am until 8 pm. See schedule below for artists and times.

Join the “Carnivale” as York Street merchants set up shop en plein air in a festive atmosphere that features a sidewalk sale, cafés, music & buskers from 9 am until 5pm.

Monforte Dairy is delighted to sponsor the Kids’ Tent at Savour Stratford Perth County Culinary Festival! Among the many activities for our youngest foodies are cooking demonstrations with authors Mark Morton and Andrew Coppolino and chefs Denis Cotter, Sirka Sie and Wendy Farkas; food-related literacy fun with the Stratford Public Library; and a play area for the wee ones brought to you by the Early Years Centre. All-day activities include face painting, and plenty of crafts to keep the kids busy! See schedule below for specific times of events happening in the Kids’ Tent throughout the day.

Demonstrations and tastings by celebrated chefs, authors and Stratford Chefs School alumni from 9 am until 8 pm. Limited capacity. Some events are ticketed or require pre-registration. Entrance to other events on first come first serve basis. See Schedule below for details.

Bradshaws, along with a select group of their top suppliers, are offering a variety of fantastic kitchen items available in a silent auction format from 9 am until 5 pm. This is a great opportunity to bid on some of the incredible products available at Bradshaws Kitchen Detail with all proceeds donated to support future Savour Stratford events. Listen to the main stage, lounge in the Pavilion featuring VQA wine from Chateau des Charmes & craft Beer from the Stratford Brewing Company & Creemore Springs. Open 11 am - 8pm. Age of Majority Required.

From 9:00 until noon, the Early Years Centre staff offer activities for pre-schoolers.

Experience honey in its purest form - directly from the honey comb. Dr. Pollard will guide us through a tasting with honey from all over the world, while speaking about the importance of bees to our food system.

Pomage, posset curde, and panperdy with cheese: eat something hundreds of years old! Mark will prattle on about the history of food in Shakespeare’s time and Andrew will fumble and muddle his way through preparing some oddball dishes folks used to eat long ago. A tasty way to explore early cooking methods and recipes! For kids Ages 6-12 yrs. This free event has limited capacity - pre-registration is required at the Kids Tent.

Enjoy the fruits of your labour - bring a vegetable and join Chef Denis in creating a community soup. Must pre-register. No admission fee - just bring a vegetable to add to the soup!
